Killz ur Eyez!

i designed a pattern for class using Photoshop... Yay!

I'm happy with the result. It looks like kArAzY wrapping paper for a boy's b-day or something...

One of my classmates did a really pretty, girly one. I wish I could post it.

Hers probably wouldn't hurt your eyes if you stared at it too long. <8-|

First Look at Lil Pooky Jr.

Yes, folks - this one's really our baby. No cute poses yet (maybe next time). Liubinka's not very far along so right now he/she is a little beency thing.

Leya and I hope it's a girl, but Mama feels like it's a boy and I'm a big believer in mother's intuition.

Postcrossing

my postcrossing map

I can't remember where I heard about Postcrossing, but from Photojojo (a neat-o photo-related newsletter I get). I thought it was super cool and gave it a try. You can go to the web site and find out more about it, but the gist of it is that you send and receive postcards from all over the world. Above is a map showing postcards I've sent and received so far.

Today I got a postcard from Japan. The picture on the front is a cute little pink sushi rice cake with a smiley face on it. A few days ago I received a postcard from Poland. You never know what you're going to get! It's free. All it costs you is postage (currently .90 for most countries) and a postcard. It would be a neat activity to do with kids - check it out!

My All Time "To Do" List

Nothing new is going on here besides yardwork. I've been trying to get motivated to get at least a rough draft of a will written just in case I meet an untimely end. I may be young, but you never know what tomorrow brings. I might get ran over by a Mack truck, attacked by rabid clowns, or who knows what and I got to make sure the kids are taken care of. As always, my mind has wandered on to other things. So anyway, it got me thinking of what I would like to do with my life before I croak. I know I should have some deep meaningful goals in mind, but that just didn't happen. So far I've come up with (in no particular order):

Have at least one last reunion with all the extended family.
Ride in a Hot Air Balloon
Water bomb a presidential motorcade
Take a walking tour up the California coast
Push a bunch of Slinkies down the "up" escalator at the Cool Springs Galleria
Break into the trophy case at work and replace the Malcom Baldridge Award with one of Lea Anna's nappy headed Barbies
Go parachuting
Learn to fly
Paint over all the graffiti downtown with fluffy things like daisies and rainbows.
Visit some nice sunny tropical island

Okay, maybe tomorrow I'll start on my rough draft. I just better watch out for those crazed clowns in the mean time!

I've Been Cheating on You

Public admission of guilt: something else has been taking up a lot of my spare time. I still read every single post and comment, but I have fallen behind with the responses I'd like to leave (especially to my Jazzy niece and her not-silly sadness post). I'm sorry, and I'll try to do better, I promise.

If you're wondering where I've been, you can find out here.

Silly Sadness...

I just wanted to say, that I really miss you mom and aunties.

I know I don’t really say much about how I'm feeling, but I just want you all to know that I think about you a lot.

I wish I could be one of those lucky lottery winners, so that I could buy a GI-NORMOUS house in Hollywood and have everybody live close by.

I really miss Lea Anna and Daniel, too. As much as I like reading about what’s going on with them, mom, and Gary, it’s kind of depressing...especially when mom posts pictures of them doing fun family activities like roasting shmores in the backyard, playing in the snow, etc. I still can't believe you got a new dog, Mom! ...I always wanted a DOG!

Sometimes, I want to just pack up my sh*t and go to TN, just to be with everybody...but then I remember that there’s no future for me there (unless I wanna work a normal office job for the rest of my life).

Another thing I miss about TN (which is funny 'cause there's not many things I miss about it) is that it’s close to GA, which is where all the fun family get-togethers take place. I miss those! If I were to settle in another state, it'd be GA 'cause that state doesn't suck and I'd still be reasonably close everybody.

NE-wayz... Yeah. I just really miss everybody and wish I could see you all more than once a year. I don’t even get to see Grandma and Aunt Jonna often because I’m at school and work all the time! I even miss GRANDPA and he’s the CRAZY one!

Once I graduate LACC, before I get a REAL job, I’d like to spend time in TN for, like, a month with mom and visit Aunt Teresa, Susie, etc. I’ll just babysit, do chores, and leech off of my loved ones for awhile and enjoy your company until I have to go back to LA and start working 9 to 5, or whatever.

Maybe I’ll kidnap Daniel and Lea Anna, too... They can visit California with ME for awhile! Daniel’s been in TN too long, anyway. He’s starting to talk like a little hick!!!

Besides, Adrian and I can take them to Hollywood, Universal Studios, Disneyland... It'd be awesome!

*sigh*

Being away from family is lame.

My Daughter is a NUT

No, not Jazzmin (well, maybe her too). This one:

By the way, she came up with this snazzy outfit herself.
