No More Fish Breath
Grayson probably wondered what was up Monday morning when he didn't get any breakfast or even a drink of water. But he thought it was pretty cool that he got to go for a car ride instead of staying home with Sara...until we got to the vet's office.
When the vet tech came to get him for his dental, Grayson climbed up on a bench near the window in the waiting room and seemed to be trying to figure out how to make a getaway before I pulled him down. Poor guy. At least they spared him a little pain and gave him his vaccinations while he was still under anesthesia.
They had to pull three teeth and he's now on his second round of antibiotics, but his breath will no longer bowl you over. Now if they could only figure out how to fit him for braces...

Maybe the anesthesia will make him forget the experience so he won't plot another get away next time around?
This little story made me think of DOG BREATH by DAVE PILKEY!
I loved that story!!!
CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS!
Sadly, I did not even know Dave Pilkey wrote Dog Breath or any other story besides Captain Underpants.
I will have to read that : )
Lisa, I don't think he'll forget. Greyhounds are pretty smart dogs, which isn't always a good thing. Sara got her tail slammed in a door like four years ago and to this day she's paranoid about going through a door with anyone standing near it who might close it. She has to dash through it.
You will have got to read Dog Breath. It's totally cute - and funny.
Dave Pilkey also did another totally cute and awesome book about a dog called HALLOWEENER!
Hey - I just realized this is the "Dave" that spells his name "wrong" - "Dav."
He has a web site with all his books and what they're about, and the write-ups include special notes from Dav, like how the dog in Hallo-weiner (or whatever) was based on a friend's dog.
You guys have GOT to read The Almost Completely True Adventures of Dav Pilkey - Cartoon Version. What a cool story.
(It's quick - less than five minutes.)
