Veterans Day

This is a link to the Military Channel website for their show 'My War Diary'. Steve had it on the t.v. today and it's an awesome look at what life in the middle east is like for our troops. They actually film home video of the things they do over there, some scary, a lot funny, and this show airs it. It's really nice to get a glimpse of Iraq through their eyes, and it's definitely more balanced than the idiots at CNN airing sniper video from Al Qaeda. It was really heartwarming for me to see people who were at Al Asad, where Steve was, or at Camp Anaconda where David is, and I'm glad there is at least one channel that supports our troops.
I LOVE YOU STEVE, DAVID, AND RYAN!!!

i think every unit should film some of their day-to-day activities. most of the time we just tell crude jokes and bad-mouth eachother, but every once in a while someone does something absolutely hilarious. (hilarious, dumb... what's the difference?) And in regards to supporting us, people should look past whether or not it is right for us to be here and see that there are a lot of very bad people here with very bad intentions and for the most part your average iraqi is unable to protect themself and their family.
I think most people do realize these things even if they don't agree with the decision to go into Iraq. But publicizing the vocal minority who think we should just pull out entirely is a lot more dramatic. Unfortunately, when it comes to news coverage most Americans prefer drama over balance and reality. The news business stopped being simply a public service and moved into a ratings-driven revenue generator a long time ago.
CNN can kiss my butt. God bless you all and everything you do for our country!
