I annoyed the possums and stray cats by shooting off a kajillion bottle rockets all afternoon, then We took the kids to see the fireworks at Moss Wright Park. It's a great show - on par with the annual one at Wilson Park in Torrance. I took pictures, but I have no special filters or settings on my camera so in anticipation of cruddy pics I have been in no rush to develop my film. Downtown had a bigger show, but I they couldn't pay me enough to face the taffic nightmare coming home.
Mandy - if you can stand the crowds (And I do mean CROWDS)come to Nashville next year. As they keep bragging - ours is number three in the nation. I can always offer you and Steve free room & board, but it comes at a price. The kids will never let you sleep past 7 am.
I would most definitely love to come to Nashville next 4th of July. Whenever Steve is around kids, it gives him someone to play with so he leaves me alone and it tires him out!
I want to come up and really see Nashville. The area around the river and the stadium looks like it would be so much fun at night.
We grilled out here, pretty much impromptu, and managed to serve up a pretty decent spread for 12 of us. I didn't miss having fireworks but I did miss y'all.
I went to bed early, but the fireworks woke me up. Daisy is afraid of that kind of noise,so she sneaked into my bedroom ( a no-no) and lay down next to my bed. I pretended I didn't see her, so we all went back to sleep.
We went to Dollywood until early afternoon. Charles even went. We rode the knew roller coaster, it was pretty cool and definetly different. It wasn't too crowded so it was enjoyable. We didn't get funnel cakes because it was hot and Sonic's sounded better. We were planning to see the fireworks at the lake but found out they did them the night before and was too tired to go futher.

I'll second that.
Everybody have a good time, eat hot dogs and watermelon and don't burn anything down or wind up at the ER!
I made hamburgers and fries for the family (sorta) and watched movies all day...
I wish I could've gone drinking, but hanging with family wasn't so bad.
:-)
We went and had burgers at Five Guys and then walked the dogs for a long time that evening. We heard fireworks, but didn't see any :(
