Happy Birthday, Daniel!

On this day in history 1961 - The Mercury program: Mercury-Redstone 3 – Alan Shepard becomes the first American to travel into outer space, making a sub-orbital flight of 15 minutes.

How cool is that, that on May 5th in 1961, the first American travels to space?! Do you smell patriotism? I sure do!

Another cool day in history is (or, WILL BE) May 9th, 2008. Why? Because THAT will be the day that Adrian and I order Daniel's AWESOME Birthday present!

TADA!!!!!

THIS is what Arian and I are getting Daniel, THREE POWER-POPPER BURP GUNS (with additional ammo)!

Now, I know you're all thinking (especially Mom), "Why the F*CK would you get him 3?! One is gonna be bad enough!"

We are getting him 3 for the simple reason that having a toy gun that actually shoots stuff can only be so much fun when you're the only one that has one. HOWEVER, if you have THREE, you can go out with your friends and have awesome gun battles! Whether it's Mom Vs. Daniel Vs. Leanna OR Daniel Vs. Chase Vs. Blake, IT'S SHOOTING FUN FOR EVERYONE!

Besides, the guns are better than what Adrian and I were ORIGINALLY gonna get him. We wanted to get him a remote-controlled tank that actually shoots, but, upon closer reading, it turns out that the tank shoots high-pressure plastic BBs that can be dangerous and painful. Therefore, Adrian and I scrapped that decision...because we care.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL!!!!!

OMG That is so cool - and he is probably going to get in sooo much trouble over it! They had a book sale at my work today and there were also some cool things like marshmallow shooters and these soda bottle science kits that I wanted to get him (his party is not until Saturday) but restrained my self since after all, it really is me who wants it. Especially the one complete with Mentos that boasts a 25' soda geyser (I always wanted to try that experiment).

By the way, thank you for rethinking your decision on the tank. Anything can be a lethal weapon in the hands of certain (aka "MY") children, but plastic high pressure BBs just smack of mucho ER visits.
