Um, Happy Easter?

Okay, so it's almost May and maybe I'm just a touch late (would you belive me if I told you I just wanted to make David look good) but I finally found some of the Easter pictures. And for the record, no none of the kids parted with one iota of their chocolate bunnies. Lea Anna did offer me several flavors of jelly beans that she didn't like - after she licked them. Blech!

Does anyone know ESL? For some reason I don't think my S.I.L. is saying "Happy Easter"!

Job Corps stole my money :(

I got my paycheck this week and Jobcorps gave me a big-ass 15 buck fine (note I only get 45 bucks per 2 weeks.) It was for losing my busspass 2 months ago which I found 2 days later att the library and those bastards waited till I didnt have it to show and potentially waive the fine. In the next paycheck I have more small fines comin for arriving at the dorms late (which they're really anal about) and not signing in ontime. I would usually be able to but I dont use pens in my class and they wont let you use their god damned pens so i I cant borrow one I cant sign in. I really hate living in job corps dorms now, they're letting a bunch of iceholes in so now even the hollywood dorms are getting crappy. I've been considering asking to become a non-resident and sleeping at grandmas place and bussing to school especially since it would be much easier to get a job, I might talk to grandma about it this weekend.

Schools going well, Ive been removed from my computer class (THANK GOD!!) and im now in my drafting class for the whole day. Ive been working on a house for quite awhile now and once my teacher is finished with another student I should be able to get started on that.Every thing else has been going pretty good. They got the internet back over at grams place but louise being the bastard that he is wouldn't tell me the wireless password (kept saying he didnt receive one then he didnt get one) so I was using the land connection, which I dont really mind considering the lack of lag. Grandpas loss of sanity is accelerating so I'm probably going to barricade myself in Hectors room when im there..atleast until a lockable door is built into the den...

Next saturday me nd Jazzmin are going to go see Spiderman 3. I've spent most of my remaining money on my warcraft subscription, hygeine stuff, and a shitload of liquids (Ive been sick which has made me thirsty as hell this week) so I only have enough for a matinee and unfortunately no money for movie munchies...I wanted a cinna-bun : (.

On the Move

In about a month or two, Steve and I will be moving to North Carolina, where a fabulous job at a company called Weinig awaits. We've contacted a buyers' agent, and hopefully they will help us find the home of our dreams, with a two car garage, gas stove, garden bathtubs, and a fenced in yard for the puppies. Steve's a little stressed over the change, but I am excited enough for the both of us. I hate living in apartments, and can't wait.
I will be closer to my sister-in-law who is getting very pregnant, and I know when my brother-in-law leaves for Iraq she'll need help with my nephew, who is starting his terrible two's. I thought I would be a little closer to Suzanne, but it turns out to be three minutes farther away (Charlotte to Knoxville, vs. Atlanta to Knoxville on Google Maps) so that sucks. Small price to pay to move into my own house though.
Well, almost midnight, guess I should get some rest. If anyone wants to help with packing or moving, you know how to contact me :)

Thanks, Bobby G!

In his latest efforts to fulfill our Commander-In-Chief's personnel requests without pissing on our fellow service members who are just now settling back into life at home, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates has announced the extension for all currently deployed active-duty soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan from 12 to 15 months. This means I will miss another holiday season, another set of birthdays, and another three months of my wife and kids. To everyone who has sent me stuffs and are still waiting for a thank-you, I apologize. It is very hard to do much with what we are given. Y'all take care and I'll write when I can.

"P" is for "Pffffft"

I didn't get the customer service position I applied for - but neither did anyone else either. I was told Monday that they decided to put the job opening on hold. Hey, that's their prerogative but I just wish they decided before my two interviews because I loathe job interviews. Even ones within my company are just as in depth and grueling as any other place I've experienced. The upside is that I am still in an awesome place, which is why I hesitated for so long before attempting to venture elsewhere. Ideally I would never change bosses or coworkers - we'd just all move together to a new department every year or two just to keep things interesting. Or I'd hit the lottery so I wouldn't have to roll out of bed until one of the kids got hungry. I could always come back and visit when I missed them. On second thought, I'll skip the lottery idea. I spent two dollars on tickets this year and got two dollars of fun out of it. Anything else would not be fun 'cause it'd just be more be money down the drain.

Happy Early Easter Everyone

It's almost here. Even with all the commercialism I still love Easter. (Note to the commies at the ACLU - It's GOOD FRIDAY and it's EASTER vacation - not Spring break) I'll not get on a soap box about it too bad though. I love and understand the ultimate sacrifice and hope for mankind Jesus' crucifixion and reserection represent. Yet I'm so looking forward to the egg hunt at my niece's house and the killer humungous dinner with the family. And just maybe Lea Anna will come off with just one itty bitty piece of her chocolate bunny this time. I can't help it - I am human, therefore I am of weak flesh. What are you all doing ?

Tons of Fun

We went to Six Flags Over Georgia today and had a blast despite getting rained on intermittently. We were all wiped out except for Brandon, who was disappointed we were leaving before he'd ridden everything twice.

It was rainy and a little chilly at times, and Michelle and Christina were the only ones brave - or crazy - enough to want to ride Thunder River. They should have known better than to leave Brian, Amanda and Brandon behind, because those three were waiting at the Thunder River water cannons to soak the girls as they rode by.

It's not quite 8:30 now but I think I am going to hit the "Publish" button and then hit the rack. I'm beat!
