Lambo Dan

I passed 2nd grade this year amazingly. I've been waiting for Summer vacation since Summer vacation ended last year. My balloon's running out of helium. There's a new ice cream truck in our neighborhood and it has better ice cream but it's 50 cents higher. My favorite ice cream is that one that is ice cream with chocolate chunks inside. It's hard not dropping it because the spoon is flat and little. Did you know Daniel, me thought of everything I said while Mom typed it.

love,
DANIEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Justin

It seems to be the trend on this side of the family to let people fall out of touch. I was on MySpace the other day and decided to look for Justin. I've had the chance to send him a couple emails, and learned some interesting things. He found his Dad when he was 14, and lived with him until he was 17, at which point he joined the Army. He has since been chaptered out of the Army and is currently living in Louisville, KY. Loretta has another daughter named Jada and another son named Darius. Justin doesn't know how to get in touch with her right now, though, because her phone had got turned off at some point.

Yesterday I had lunch with the Honorable Jack Bell, Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Logistics and Materiel Readiness, and MG Geehan, who is also a logistician of some sort. They didn't sit near me, but a guy named COL Doxey sure did, and we had a nice long chat. After it was all said and done, the Honorable Mr. Bell gave me his challenge coin... woot. I'm well exhausted right now, so I'm off to bed. Holla back yall

David Found Justin

Justin was in the Army. David has some details as they've e-mailed a couple of times - Amanda told me a few things and it's not great. He'll be 19 on July 7th. Loretta had two more kids after Krysta.

Nashville City Fest

These are some photos I snapped of the Nashville City Fest we attended Saturday. It was a blast. Even though I have never heard of most of the artists the music was AWESOME. Of course I had the easy part. While Gary was drug around in the hot sun by the kids, I was sitting under a shaded booth sipping bottled water and helping out church put tattoos on kids. Every thing was free except food, but they had a picnic area set up for anyone who brought their own in. They also had demonstrations of pro skaters, BMX riders, freestyle motocross, and too much more things to list: http://www.nashvillecityfest.com/

National Corvette Museum

These were taken May 5th at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. Unfortunately most of the really awesome ones came out too dark even with my flash. Not that I'd turn down the '59 convertible shown in the first two photos. It's drool worthy in it's own right.

Take Me Out 2 the Ballgame

Live from Turner Field

Hooray!!! It's my Birthday!!!

Well, almost...

Time sure has flown by!

I can't believe I'm gonna be 20!

ONE MORE YEAR AND I'M FULLY LEGAL!!! (God, I can't wait for that...)

NE-Wayz...

I don't really have anything planned. I thought Ruben and I were gonna have our Birthdays together again, but Aunt Jonna is doing something special for him and Chela, so it's going to be different this year.

So instead, On June 2nd me and a small group of friends are just going to hang out around Hollywood. We might go to a club or something, but I highly doubt it because all the good clubs (that AREN'T 21+!) are on Fridays.

Then, on June 3rd, I'm going to see a band called EMPEROR at The Key Club.

Since I really like this band and they're playing on the same day as my birthday it'd be the ULTIMATE way for me to celebrate. Besides, I know I won't get much, so it's like a birthday present to myself. :-D

I saw them last year, but didn't get to take pictures becuase they were at the House of Blues, but since they're going to be at the Key Club camera's are allowed... YESSSS!!!!!

LINK TO WISH LIST!!! (PLEEEEEEZ!!!!!)
*Click the Doggie.*

*If you buy anything off of Amazon get it used! I don't care if you only spend $3-$5 on me... I'm cheap.*

PS: I SAW OZZY OSBOURNE PERFORM ON JIMMY KIMMEL LAST NIGHT! MY FRIEND, DRAKE, HAD A TICKET FOR TWO PEOPLE, SO I GOT TO SEE HIM LIVE!!! (It was crowded as HELL, but I managed to push my way through to the 2nd row!) ZACH WYLDE WAS THERE ON GUITAR, TOO!!!!! OZZY EVEN WORE HIS PURPLE GLASSES!!!!!!!!

Ozzy Performed:

A Jazzy Trip Through Memory Lane

I'll bet this brings back memories Ms. Jazzy. I don't think any of us sisters besides me had my all time favorite teacher Mrs. Tamashiro when they attended Perry, but I spent many nights writing standards as I was constantly forgetting my homework. I think I got up to 125 one night. Adrian also had Mrs. T in the second grade and wrote his share of standards too.

C.O.M.E.T. Fun @ Lake Piru

Frank Clayton shared these with me. He had some home video converted to DVD format. Would be fun to see the movies but just seeing me and Suzanne at 11 and 10 is wild. Lake Piru was pretty much a giant pasture full of cow patties, but we didn't care. We had a lot of good times there. Frank said it's much different now - see for yourself.

Here are two shots Frank took on his trip back there last weekend. The first is a view of the lake, and the second is the drainage pipe where I gouged my skull open. Ah, memories...

Gee, Mom - You're Swell!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Blog-Blog Sisterhood moms and aunties: Mom (Lorraine), Janet, Suzanne, Lisa, Jonna, Liubinka and Amanda.

What "mom-isms" did your mom or grandma use? Which ones do you find yourself saying now?

Mom:
"Who took my good scissors?!?"
"Come here!" (when she wanted us close enough to smack - needless to say I wasn't very cooperative on that one)

Grandma:
"Put on [a sweater, shoes, etc.] or you'll catch a cold."

Me:
"Don't MAKE me come over there!" (I am sure my kids could rat me out here and come up with a lot more)

Guess Who's Back...

BACKSTREET'S BACK!!!!!!

LMAO!!!

Tuesday, my friend, Nez, and I went to the Hot Topic on Hollywood and Highland and, as we were getting ready to leave, A.J. McLEAN walked in!

I was like, "Nez! That's AJ from the Backstreet Boys!" And Nez was like, "That's not him!" So, we were going back and forth about it, then the lady who was at the register was like, "If you're wondering, yeah, it's him. He comes in here all the time..." So, after an "I TOLD YOU SO!" to Nez, I got a picture with him...

I wasn't the only one either... There were 3 other people (about my age, too!) asking to take a picture with him. It was so funny seeing him because I used to be a hardcore fan and drive Mom and Dad nuts, but I never got to meet any of them when I was younger... NOW he pops up in Hot Topic (of all places!) and me and a bunch of other freaks are wanting pictures...

What a funny night that was!

**NON-BACKSTREET NEWS:**

I applied for a J-O-B at Hot Topic... Last night, I had a mini interview and next Monday I go in for a group interview, so wish me luck because unemployement SUCKS BALLS!!!

Go Daniel, It’s your Birthday!

Eight years ago today Daniel AKA Shnooky Pie, Short Man and various other nick-names given by Jazzmin that we won’t mention was born. It was predicted at the tender age of two months by a friend of mine that He’d be hell on wheels. Judging from the way he races around on his bike and scooter (not to mention his overall naughty boy adventures), it’s not too far from the truth. He's also teaching little Sis to follow in his foot steps, so the adventures are not over yet. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.
We are taking him to the Corvette Museum to celebrate later this morning. I was looking at their website last night and drooling over some of the models: http://www.corvettemuseum.com/
We’ll post pictures later.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIEL!

The Abomidable J-A-Z.....Z

Sooo...

I'm about to finish my 2nd semester of college. It's been A LOT of fun and I LOVE my art class!

In Art 201 (DRAWING), our first mid-term project was a pencil drawing. I drew a woman standing in a cemetary and the teacher liked it so much she chose it to go in her class' display. How cool is that?!! Now, when you walk down the DaVinci Hall at LACC, you see my picture! w00t!

Our second project was an ink cross-hatching portrait and I did my friend, Emerald's, portrait. It came out so cool! I'm going to give it to her as a gift when I get it back from my teacher. I hope she displays it...just because I think it's awesome and feel particularly prideful when I think about it.

The only class I'm not doing too great in is Economics001 because it's A LOT harder than I thought... No matter how much I study, I always get all those stupid little terms mixed up AND the class is SOOOO boring, I keep dozing off.

Oh, well... Maybe I'll get lucky and pass with a C-...when hell freezes over.

NE-Wayz..

I know I have posted pictures of my hair in awhile (I beleive, the last colors you saw were the Christmas ones...), so here they are (because you know they're NIFTY)!!!

*After my X-MAS colors I got Pink, Black, and White. Originally, I wanted Black and Magenta or Black and Turquoise, but the place I went to get braiding hair barely had ANY colorful synthetic hair... The chic helping me was showing me all this CRAP, so eventually I got tired of being there and just took what was lying on the counter.

It didn't come out that bad, but I was glad when I finally took them out because the white was getting ugly and the pink was getting on my nerves. (Also, I had them in for almost 3 months because I didn't have the money to get them redone, and when I did, I spent the $$$ on concert tickets..... I regret nothing!)

*NOW they are black, red, and grey. These are THE COOLEST colors I've EVER put in my hair (other than purple)! The BEST part about it, is that the braids now match ALL of my clothes (becuase a vast majority of them are balck and/or red), so everytime I walk out of the room, I'm UBER color-coordinated!!!
